WP1: Coordination and Management (FORTH)

Objectives

-Technical Management and Coordination. Establish the Steering Committee and prepare Network’s Strategic Plan.
-DMP and DEC plans.
-Coordination of networking activities (schedule virtual and in-person meetings, training events, exchange visits). Collect and distribute information on all activities among partners. Create and distribute progress reports within network. Prepare reports (financial, organisational and scientific) for the EU officers.
-Administrative Officers training
-Organize and host kick-off, Conference/2nd meeting and 3rd final meeting.

WP2: Capacity Building (IRB)

Objectives

-Upgrade FORTH Genomics and Bioinformatics Capacities (scientist training actions).
-Benchmark protocol for tissue preparation and subsequent single-cell library construction.
-Data Steward to implement the FAIR data management plan.
-Establish a new Bioinformatics Core with trained existing staff at FORTH-IMBB.
-Benchmark network’s bioinformatics pipeline analysis for single-cell transcriptomic datasets.
-Create and maintain a time-saving Data repository on FORTH servers shared amongst partners.
-Empower scientists in integrative bioinformatics skills
-Create and maintain user-friendly, web-based interface tools for data visualization and mining.

WP3: Research Excellence (CNRS)

Objectives

-Organize and supervise experimental procedures for generating high impact research data
-Describe the transcriptome and chromatin changes in Drosophila neural tumors at single cell resolution.
-Describe the host's cellular immune response to tumor implantation.
-Mine existing cancer data for similarities and differences with other Drosophila tumors and human cancers.
-Develop and spread competences in single-cell ATAC and Cut&Tag chromatin profiling techniques.
-Develop and spread competences in single-molecule RNA-FISH.
-Develop in vitro culture systems


WP4: Strategic partnership (IGBMC)

Objectives

-Monitor and update Network’s strategic plan. 
-Oversee knowledge sharing, visits and training activities.
-Linking Network with other existing European initiatives.
-Explore complementary activities & technologies for future research.

 

WP5: Outreach & Sustainability (SU)

Objectives

-Engage the public via outreach activities, digital media, website and social media outputs.
-Communicate achievements and utilize European Commission tools to reach different audiences.
-Engage local and national authorities and potential financial stakeholders.
- IPR and exploitation of results, monitor KERs.
-Monitor Facility Services, usage output and services quality.
-Open the single-cell genomics and bioinformatics facilities to all users within FORTH and the broader scientific community of Crete, Greece and beyond.
-Perform a survey by a social scientist on network’s activities and use outcomes to shape EU future policies.
