SCENTINEL members visited the SciLifeLab Institute in Stockholm. In the context of training, Mattias Mannervik organized a visit and a guided tour at the SciLifeLab Stockholm, one of the biggest research infrastructures in Europe.
The National Genomics Infrastructure (NGI) project coordinators Elísabet Einarsdóttir and Renuka Kudva welcomed us. Mrs. Einarsdóttir presented an overview of SciLifeLab history, organization scheme, current infrastructures and aims, project handling and workflows. Focusing at the NGI, she explained how the Infrastructure is organized and functions, how projects are managed and how they are integrated within the scientific ecosystem of Sweden. Vasiliki Theodorou presented the SCENTINEL consortium to the SciLifeLab audience, the aims and status of activities. They kindly offered guidance and assistance to the SCENTINEL consortium if needed. Following the presentations, partners were guided through different facilities, met and discussed with personnel from the genomics, sequencing and spatial microscopy departments.
